Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar tragically died on Wednesday morning when the plane he was travelling in crashed while landing at Baramati Airport. He was flying from Mumbai to Baramati to participate in district council election campaigning. Officials said a technical malfunction caused the aircraft to lose control during landing, and it struck the ground with significant force, immediately catching fire.
The crash claimed the lives of Ajit Pawar along with six others on board, including the pilots and crew members. Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident, and rescue teams were deployed immediately following the incident to control the fire and secure the site.
