The Movie Artistes’ Association has taken action by suspending five YouTube channels accused of posting obscene, trolling, and defamatory content targeting actors and their families. In response, the association has issued a stern warning via social media, stating, “The crackdown has begun. Five YouTube channels have been suspended for posting derogatory content about actors, their families, and personal matters. This is just the beginning; we are compiling another list for further action. Such measures will continue in the future.”

Manchu Vishnu, the president of MAA, has urged digital content creators to remove fake news, memes, and content maligning actors within 48 hours. He recently criticized YouTubers for circulating a video containing derogatory remarks aimed at a father-daughter duo. Vishnu emphasized zero tolerance for disrespectful content towards women, stating, “I am giving a 48-hour ultimatum to those creating trolling and indecent videos. Please delete such content immediately. Failure to comply will result in cybersecurity complaints and legal actions leading to the banning of YouTube channels.”

On behalf of the Movie Artistes’ Association, appeals have been made to Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan to take stringent action against individuals producing trolling videos and inappropriate content under the guise of dark comedy on social media.
