Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh has challenged former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to prove allegations of land grabbing in Visakhapatnam. He asserted that he would resign from his ministerial post if Jagan could substantiate the claims.

In a post on social media platform X, Lokesh responded to allegations that land had been allotted to URSC (Ursa) Company in Visakhapatnam at a nominal rate of Rs 1 per acre. “If Jagan can prove that I gave even an acre of land for one rupee, I will resign from my post,” he declared. “But if the allegations are proven false, he must apologise to the youth.”

Lokesh clarified that 3.5 acres were allotted at a rate of ₹1 crore per acre in IT Park Hill-3 and 56.36 acres at ₹50 lakh per acre in Kapuluppada. He accused Jagan of making baseless claims and avoiding accountability, stating, “Making wild allegations and then disappearing is nothing new for Jagan Reddy.”

Criticising the previous YSRCP government’s performance, Lokesh said, “Not a single company was brought into the state during your five-year tenure, while existing firms were forced to leave. The current government is committed to generating 20 lakh jobs, and significant investments are flowing in. You are unable to digest the fact that companies are returning and youth are finding employment.” Concluding his remarks with a pointed jibe, Lokesh added, “Use Eno. It might give you some relief.”
