Hyderabad: Alluri Srinivas, popularly known as “Lady Aghori,” continues to remain in judicial custody at Chanchalguda Central Prison for over 43 days. The self-proclaimed spiritual activist, who gained notoriety last year across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for his controversial campaigns under the banner of Sanatana Dharma, was arrested on multiple charges including assault, extortion, and bigamy.
Srinivas first came into the spotlight for confronting individuals and even law enforcement officers over alleged injustices against women. However, his personal life soon drew legal attention. After marrying a woman named Srivarsini, a separate woman named Radhika came forward claiming to be his legally wedded wife and filed a case. Adding to the controversy, a film producer also lodged a complaint, alleging that Srinivas extorted ₹10 lakh from her under the guise of performing religious rituals.

Emotional Outburst During Jail Interview
During a recent interaction with an RTV news team inside the jail, Srinivas broke down while speaking about Srivarsini, expressing concern for her wellbeing. He revealed that his parents are unable to secure his bail due to financial hardship, stating that they would be forced to sell their only source of livelihood—cattle—to meet legal expenses.
Although he was granted bail in the Mokila and Komuravelli cases, he remains in custody due to the pending case filed by Radhika. Srinivas expressed deep anguish, stating he had placed his faith in divine justice and was prepared to sacrifice everything, even his life, in the service of Sanatana Dharma.
