In a session at the High Court, lawyer Sundaram presented arguments on behalf of KTR, asserting that the FIR filed against him did not mention any personal gains for KTR and that the case was politically motivated. He emphasized that the agreement for Season 9 of the car racing event was made in October 2022, and no further agreement was required for Season 10. Sundaram criticized the 14-month delay in filing the case and questioned the relevance of election code violations to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). He also pointed out that if there had been any election code violations, the Election Commission should have handled the issue.

Sundaram added, “The FIR was filed purely out of political vindictiveness, without even a basic inquiry. The allegations under Section 13(1)(a) of the Prevention of Corruption Act do not apply to this case.”
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy responded to the issue surrounding the Formula E car race. He alleged that the race was part of a plan to commit a Rs 600 crore scam. “I gave an appointment to the FEO last December and took a photo with him. I meet many people, including anyone who approaches me. The Municipal Administration and Urban Development are under my control,” Revanth said. He also raised concerns about funds that were meant for the HMDA account but allegedly ended up in London, questioning the legality of such transfers without RBI approval. Revanth indicated he would fully address these issues once the court proceedings were concluded.
