Hyderabad: KTR has raised significant concerns regarding the Hyderabad Metro’s new paid parking policy. In his statement, KTR criticized the government’s recent actions, stating, “Metro commuters are facing severe difficulties due to the government’s decisions.” He highlighted that there was considerable opposition to the paid parking proposal at Nagole and Miyapur metro stations, yet notices have now emerged indicating that paid parking will commence from September 15.
KTR expressed his discontent with the government’s approach, suggesting that these measures could hinder efforts to promote metro travel. He pointed out a perceived disconnect between the government’s initiatives, questioning the commitment to improving last-mile connectivity, which is vital for boosting metro use. Additionally, KTR questioned the rationale behind imposing fines on metro passengers while offering free bus travel to women, calling for clarification from the Telangana Chief Secretary.
