Telangana’s Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, KTR, criticized Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s recent demand for Rs 1 lakh crore from the Centre for Andhra Pradesh’s development and Amaravati’s reconstruction. Speaking on a media platform, KTR emphasized the importance of strong regional parties in fulfilling the aspirations of the people, asserting that such parties are crucial for Telangana’s defense against external influences.
Addressing student leaders from the BRS, KTR accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of betraying Telangana’s unemployed youth. He pointed out Revanth’s alleged derogatory remarks towards students at a Mahabubnagar meeting and demanded an apology. KTR criticized the government’s failure to fulfill promises made to the unemployed, highlighting a significant gap between the promised 50,000 posts and the actual allocation of only 6,000 additional positions.
Highlighting the achievements of the BRS during its 10-year rule, KTR noted the creation of 1.62 lakh government jobs and urged Union Minister Bandi Sanjay to support initiatives for a mega power loom cluster in Sircilla. He called on Sanjay to secure adequate funding in the upcoming budget for these projects.
Meanwhile, amidst reports of BRS MLAs defecting to Congress, KTR condemned Rahul Gandhi’s alleged hypocrisy regarding defections and called for stronger anti-defection laws as outlined in the Panch Nyay document.
