Social media was abuzz on Wednesday morning with videos alleging a “beer party” at Minister Konda Surekha’s residence. The videos, widely circulated across platforms, particularly within BRS-related circles, sparked heated discussions online.
In response, Konda Surekha’s daughter, Sushmitha Patel, dismissed the claims, clarifying that the gathering was a family event. She explained that the occasion was a party hosted by her mother to celebrate her 14-year-old daughter’s birthday, which also included staff members.

Sushmitha further pointed out that both her daughter and son were present in the video. Highlighting her mother’s values, she remarked, “Leadership is not just about exerting authority; it’s also about caring for those who work with you. This is something my mother strongly believes in.” The clarification aims to address the controversy and dispel the misinformation surrounding the event.
