In a recent statement, Kethireddy Venkatarami Reddy, a key YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former MLA from Dharmavaram, made explosive remarks regarding Vijay Sai Reddy’s decision to step away from politics. Reddy described Vijay Sai Reddy as one of the most trusted figures in the party, highlighting his pivotal role in managing YS Jagan’s affairs in Delhi and his responsibilities in Visakhapatnam and North Andhra post the party’s victory.
Reddy further implied that certain errors had occurred after Vijay Sai was given these responsibilities. In a significant turn of events, he claimed that the resignation was linked to issues surrounding the Kakinada Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
Addressing the ongoing tensions between the central government and state leaders, Reddy accused the central agencies, such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), of targeting state governments and chief ministers. He stated that Vijay Sai Reddy was not immune to these pressures and suggested that the fear of being targeted by these agencies led to his resignation. Despite Vijay Sai’s public denial, Reddy firmly stated that this was the underlying cause of the resignation, questioning why he would exit politics unless pressured by these agencies.
