As Delhi’s election results approach, the political atmosphere remains charged with tension, marked by fierce accusations between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made explosive claims, accusing the BJP of attempting to “poach” AAP candidates. In response to these allegations, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has issued notices to Kejriwal, leading to a dramatic escalation of events.

The accusations have led to a call for an immediate investigation, with Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor instructing authorities to probe the matter. The ACB has demanded evidence from Kejriwal, including details of phone calls received by 16 AAP candidates and the numbers involved. Kejriwal is also expected to explain the impact of these allegations on public order.
Tensions heightened when ACB officials arrived at Kejriwal’s residence to deliver the notices. AAP leaders strongly opposed the action, preventing the officials from entering the residence, which caused a brief standoff. AAP’s legal cell president, Sanjeev Nasyar, raised concerns over the lack of formal legal notices when the officials arrived and stated that they were handed over the documents only after an hour and a half.
