Telangana former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has labeled the 11-month Congress government as a complete failure. Speaking on the state’s political scenario, KCR expressed his dissatisfaction with the leadership of Revanth Reddy, stating that there is a growing sense of incompleteness across various sectors. He remained optimistic about the future, declaring that with collective effort, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would secure a 100% victory in the upcoming elections.
During a meeting at his farmhouse in Erravalli, KCR welcomed BRS leaders from the Palakurthi Assembly constituency of the erstwhile Warangal district. Film producer Parupati Srinivas Reddy and artist Ravi Teja officially joined the BRS, with KCR presenting them with party scarves and extending a warm welcome.
Addressing the political situation, KCR emphasized the democratic process, asserting that in a democracy, victory belongs to the people. He reminded the public of his consistent message during past election rallies, stressing that poor electoral choices would ultimately harm the people themselves. He downplayed concerns over BRS setbacks in previous elections, stating that the party was not facing significant challenges.
KCR also pointed out the achievements of his government, claiming that more than 90% of the promises made in the party’s manifesto had been successfully fulfilled, far exceeding the initial commitment of 10%. He criticized the Congress government, urging them to refrain from making reckless statements about collapsing systems, and reiterated that a government’s role is to protect, not intimidate, the people.
KCR’s return to the public stage after a period of silence has sparked renewed discussions about his political activity. Following the state assembly election defeat, KCR had kept a low profile, only reappearing during the parliamentary election campaign. His brief appearance during the budget presentation further fueled speculation about his future role in state politics. His public reengagement today has reignited questions about whether he will remain active in the political arena going forward.
