BRS leaders KCR and Harish Rao have approached the High Court with quash petitions regarding the Medigadda Barrage project. The petitions come in response to a case filed in Bhupalpalli over alleged corruption in the project’s construction. A private petition in Bhupalpalli Court had called for an investigation into the matter, which led to notices being issued to KCR and Harish Rao in July.
In their quash petitions, KCR and Harish Rao sought to dismiss the notices, challenging the legal proceedings. The controversy also includes a petition filed by Rajalingamurthi in Bhupalpalli District Court, alleging the violation of construction rules in the Medigadda project and the misuse of public funds.
