Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader Sama Ram Mohan Reddy has made explosive allegations, claiming that a major internal split is imminent within the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), and suggesting that MLC K. Kavitha may soon be suspended from the party.
Addressing reporters at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, Ram Mohan Reddy stated that he had predicted two weeks ago that Kavitha had written a letter to party president K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), a prediction he says was confirmed when the letter surfaced in the public domain.

He referred to Kavitha’s recent remarks in which she alleged that “demons” surrounded her father KCR. “Those demons are Santosh Rao, K.T. Rama Rao, and Harish Rao,” Ram Mohan Reddy declared, alleging that the trio is working to sideline Kavitha and remove her from the party.
He further speculated that the suspension could happen at any time and claimed there is an active plan to appoint Santosh Rao as the next president of BRS. “KCR is now facing a situation similar to that of the late Jayalalithaa. He appears helpless as his own family is being torn apart,” the Congress leader remarked.

Reddy also asserted that if action is taken against Kavitha, she is likely to float her own political outfit. “KTR has no intention of resolving the issue with dialogue. Instead, those close to KCR are betraying him,” he said.
In a striking accusation, he alleged that BRS leaders need to pay Santosh Rao for arranging meetings with KCR. “Santosh Rao decides who KCR should meet and when,” he said, claiming that even Kavitha was prevented by Santosh from directly interacting with her father.
Ram Mohan Reddy concluded by reminding that KCR, in the past, had taken strict disciplinary action against leaders who aired internal matters publicly. “Now, the same internal sabotage is being tolerated when it is targeted at his own daughter,” he added.
