Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha, daughter of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and suspended BRS leader, has been accused of involvement in a major land-grabbing case in Hyderabad. Allegations surfaced that approximately 20 acres of government land under the IDPL limits in Balanagar mandal were encroached upon using forged documents. Locals claimed that Kavitha, her husband Anil Kumar, and associate A.V. Reddy were key figures in the illegal acquisition.

Complainants approached Malkajgiri MP Eatala Rajender, submitting documents and requesting his intervention. They alleged that the encroachment took place after the Congress came to power, with the active participation of Anil Kumar and A.V. Reddy. The land, falling under Survey No. 2010/4 and valued at over Rs 2,000 crore, is reportedly registered in Anil Kumar’s name under the Kukatpally MRO jurisdiction. Locals stated that real estate projects have already been initiated on the site, with construction and flat sales underway.

Residents further accused Anil Kumar and A.V. Reddy of exploiting overlapping survey numbers to grab the land, with Reddy allegedly playing a central role. Despite several complaints filed with Hyderabad Commissioner Ranganath and district officials, no action has reportedly been taken. They urged Eatala Rajender to safeguard the land for public welfare purposes such as schools and hospitals. Rajender assured the complainants that suitable action would be initiated to protect government property.

The case has triggered widespread political debate as it emerges amid Kavitha’s renewed public outreach under the Telangana Jagruthi banner. Political analysts suggest that Eatala Rajender is pursuing the issue seriously, as it falls within his constituency limits. The alleged Balanagar land scam, involving Kavitha, Anil Kumar, and A.V. Reddy, is expected to escalate into a major political controversy in Telangana in the coming days.
