Tollywood actor Jr NTR, currently engaged in multiple high-profile projects including Devara Part 2, War 2, and Dragon with director Prashanth Neel, is reportedly in talks for another ambitious venture. According to national media reports, the actor may soon headline a biopic based on the life of Dadasaheb Phalke, widely regarded as the father of Indian cinema.
The film is expected to be directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Nitin Kakkar, known for Filmistaan and Notebook. The biopic was originally announced in September 2023 under the title Made in India by director SS Rajamouli, along with his son Karthikeya and producer Varun Gupta.

Sources indicate that the complete script was recently narrated to NTR, who was reportedly impressed with the storyline. The film will explore the genesis of Indian cinema and the journey of Dadasaheb Phalke, whose contributions laid the foundation for the industry.
Though an official confirmation is awaited, industry insiders suggest the project could mark one of the most significant and experimental roles in NTR’s career.
