The recent induction of BRS MLA Sanjay Kumar into the Congress has stirred unrest, particularly since Jeevan Reddy was reportedly not informed about it. This development played a role in his decision to step down, as the migration of leaders from BRS to Congress adds to the political turbulence.
During discussions with his supporters about his future, Jeevan Reddy confirmed his resignation. MLAs Adluri Lakshman and Aadhi Srinivas tried to dissuade him from making any hard decisions. However, after 40 years in politics, Jeevan Reddy expressed his frustration over not feeling respected within the party. He mentioned plans to take up agriculture, questioning the value of his public service when respect is missing.
