Washington, Nov 2: US Vice President JD Vance has denied widespread rumours claiming he is set to divorce his wife, Usha Vance, following viral social media posts suggesting he would marry influencer Erika Kirk. The speculation gained momentum after photographs showing Vance embracing Kirk at an event at the University of Mississippi went viral earlier this week.
The controversy was fueled by author Shannon, a New York Times bestselling writer, who claimed on social media that Vance would divorce Usha and marry Erika Kirk by the end of next year. Her post quickly gained traction, amassing over 8.5 million views. The rumours surfaced days after Vance’s remarks about Christianity during a university interaction with an Indian student drew attention online.

Responding to the speculation, Vance took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify that his wife has no plans to convert to Christianity and dismissed reports of marital discord. He described Usha as “an incredible person” and “the best thing that ever happened” to him, adding that faith is a personal choice he deeply respects.
Political observers noted that the controversy emerged as Vance is being discussed as a potential MAGA candidate for the 2028 US presidential election. Analysts had suggested that his wife’s Hindu background might present political challenges, but Vance’s statement has effectively put an end to the divorce rumours.
