Amid escalating tensions between Israel and Hamas, Israeli Member of Parliament Ayman Odeh openly criticized Israel’s military actions in Gaza during a recent parliamentary session. Odeh condemned the ongoing strikes that have resulted in thousands of casualties, including a significant number of women and children.
Odeh stated, “In the past year and a half, 19,000 children have died in Gaza. Over 52,000 people have been killed. Universities and hospitals have been destroyed. Yet, those responsible refuse to acknowledge political defeat.” His remarks sparked strong opposition from several parliamentarians.

Parliamentary officials interrupted Odeh’s speech and removed him from the chamber. Video footage of the incident has rapidly circulated on social media.
This incident comes amid intensifying Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, which have drawn increasing international criticism. Notably, IDF Reserve Chief Yair Golan recently expressed frustration with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies, condemning the normalization of civilian casualties, particularly among children, in Gaza.
