The embassy advised Indian nationals to use available commercial flights to return home. Nearly 10,000 Indians are estimated to be currently in Iran, and emergency helpline services have been activated to provide assistance.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that President Trump has given Iran a 10 to 15-day deadline to agree to a renewed nuclear arrangement. Failure to comply could result in targeted airstrikes on key Iranian nuclear facilities, missile launch sites, and bases of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The deployment of two US aircraft carriers near Iranian waters underscores the seriousness of the crisis, as diplomatic and military tensions continue to intensify.
