West Asia: Tensions in West Asia continue to escalate, with joint U.S. and Israeli strikes targeting Iran, while Tehran has carried out attacks on American installations across Gulf countries. Iranian forces have reportedly targeted U.S. diplomatic offices in Dubai, military bases in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and oil and gas facilities in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, raising international concerns.
In a significant development, Iranian President Pejeshkian made a statement clarifying Tehran’s position. He asserted that Iran has no intention of attacking Gulf nations but warned that it will respond if provoked. He urged Gulf countries not to serve as military bases for the U.S., emphasizing that Iran will not intrude into the region. The statement, which included an apology to Gulf countries, is being seen as a key diplomatic move amid mounting criticism over Iran’s strikes.
