Tensions in West Asia continue to escalate as Iran launched missile strikes on Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), resulting in two fatalities. Among the deceased was an Indian national, while the other victim was identified as a Pakistani citizen. UAE air defense systems successfully intercepted the incoming missiles; however, falling debris from the interceptions is believed to have caused the deaths.
The attack also left three people injured, including another Indian national. The remaining injured individuals were reported to be from the UAE and Jordan. UAE authorities have urged residents to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information, advising the public to rely only on official sources for updates.
Meanwhile, Jordan strongly condemned the attack, calling it a violation of UAE’s sovereignty. The incident marks a further escalation in regional tensions, raising concerns over the widening impact of the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
