Anjana Krishna, a 2022-batch IPS officer, hails from a middle-class family. Her father runs a small textile business while her mother works as a typist in court. She secured an All India Rank of 355 in the UPSC exam, fulfilling her long-cherished dream of joining the IPS.
The video has triggered criticism of Pawar, with many arguing that public representatives must respect the law and not interfere in administrative duties. NCP leader Sunil Tatkare defended Pawar, saying his remarks may have been misunderstood and were likely meant to pacify party workers. Nonetheless, the episode has sparked a fresh controversy in Maharashtra politics.
