IndiGo, which recently faced major operational disruptions leading to significant inconvenience for passengers, announced on Sunday that its services are steadily returning to normal. The airline stated that noticeable and consistent improvements are being observed across its network, and efforts to restore operations have been accelerated to stabilise the situation quickly.

According to the airline, IndiGo operated approximately 1,500 flights on Saturday and increased the figure to more than 1,650 on Sunday. It also highlighted that its on-time performance (OTP), which had dropped to 30 percent in recent days, improved sharply to 75 percent within a single day. The carrier attributed the progress to several key corrective measures implemented over the last 48 hours.

IndiGo further said that information on flight cancellations is now being communicated to passengers well in advance, thereby reducing inconvenience. It added that refund and baggage handling processes are running smoothly and at full capacity. The airline expressed confidence that operations will return to complete normalcy by December 10, ahead of earlier estimates.

While issuing an advisory to passengers to check their flight status on the IndiGo website before heading to the airport, the airline reiterated its apologies for the inconvenience caused over the past few days. It also thanked passengers for their patience and employees for their dedication during the crisis. A company spokesperson noted that IndiGo is working closely with authorities to ensure a swift and full restoration of services.
