Toronto: A 55-year-old Indian-origin man, Arvi Singh Sagu, was brutally assaulted and killed in Canada after confronting a stranger for urinating on his car. The incident took place on October 19 when Sagu and his girlfriend were returning home after dinner. Upon noticing the misbehavior, Sagu questioned the man, who reportedly reacted aggressively, struck him on the head, and fled the scene. Sagu’s girlfriend immediately called emergency services, and he was admitted to the hospital. Despite being placed on life support for five days, Sagu succumbed to his injuries.
According to Edmonton Police, the accused has been identified as 36-year-old Kyle Papin. He was arrested shortly after the incident and charged with aggravated assault. Authorities stated that additional charges may follow pending the autopsy report. The shocking attack has sparked outrage in the local Indian community, highlighting growing concerns over public safety and random acts of violence in Canada.
