Hydra, which has been actively working on restoring encroached lakes, has now intensified action against unauthorized hoardings. As part of the operation, 53 large hoardings were removed from areas including Shamshabad, Kotwalguda, Thondpally, Gollapally Road, Tellapur, and Narsingi. Hydra Commissioner Ranganath also held discussions with representatives of advertising agencies, warning that any hoardings installed without permission would be removed.

Meanwhile, Hydra teams have also demolished illegal constructions at Komatikunta Lake in Medchal district. Encroachments within Full Tank Level (FTL) limits of various lakes are being targeted, with bulldozers deployed to remove unauthorized structures. While earlier demolitions focused on makeshift sheds, a recent operation in Devarayamjal village of Medchal-Malkajgiri district led to the razing of illegally constructed resorts and convention centers within the Komatikunta Lake FTL zone.

Following complaints from local residents, Hydra officials conducted an inquiry and issued notices to the owners before initiating the demolition process.
