Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand said the Khairatabad Ganesh immersion is expected to conclude by 1 PM. Over the past 20 days, police coordinated with government departments to inspect water bodies and finalize arrangements. At Hussain Sagar, Tank Bund, and NTR Ghat, 40 cranes have been installed to facilitate the immersion. Organizers have been instructed to comply with police guidelines regarding idol heights and vehicle movement. Traffic diversions and barricades have been put in place across key routes.
A total of 29,000 police personnel will be deployed for security, with nearly 50,000 Ganesh idols expected to be immersed throughout the city. Authorities have urged organizers and devotees to follow safety protocols to ensure a smooth and safe celebration.
