Hyderabad: The investigation into the drug case linked to Malnadu Restaurant in Hyderabad has uncovered a widespread narcotics racket involving several pubs, restaurants, and high-profile individuals. According to the Eagle Team, drugs were being consumed and distributed at various upscale locations in the city, with Surya Annamaneni—owner of Malnadu and Tales of Telugu restaurants—identified as the kingpin of the operation. The team found that several African nationals were supplying narcotics via courier services, and multiple hospitality establishments were complicit in the trade.

A total of 25 individuals have been named in the FIR, including Surya Annamaneni (A-1), Pallapaka Mohan (A-2), international drug peddler Nick (A-3), and others from New Delhi, Bengaluru, Bhimavaram, and Nigeria. Key venues implicated include Prism Pub (Financial District), Farm Pub (Jubilee Hills), Bird Box (Madhapur), Black 22 (Hitec City), Zora Pub, Broadway Pub, and Quake Arena Pub. The Eagle Team has confirmed that owners and managing directors of these venues were directly involved. The investigation continues, with authorities focusing on the financial trail and potential international links within the syndicate.
