Hyderabad: With heavy rainfall continuing to disrupt normal life across the city, the Cyberabad Traffic Police have urged IT companies to extend work-from-home arrangements on Wednesday to avoid traffic snarls and ensure public safety.
Following overnight showers that triggered widespread waterlogging and brought traffic to a standstill in several areas, authorities stressed the need for minimal movement on key roads. The advisory aims to reduce congestion and allow emergency services to function without obstruction.
“Considering the continuing heavy rainfall and road inundation, we request IT companies to facilitate work from home to help ease the situation,” officials said. Commuters, particularly office-goers, faced severe hardships due to stalled vehicles and flooded roads early Tuesday.
