Uttarakhand experienced another cloudburst, resulting in heavy rainfall across the region since yesterday. The downpour intensified early this morning, causing severe flooding in Dehradun. Numerous houses, shops, and roads were damaged, and two individuals went missing. Rescue teams are actively working to locate and save the missing persons, while affected residents have been evacuated to safer areas.

District officials, including District Magistrate Savin Bansal and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kunkum Joshi, along with other authorities, visited the affected sites to assess the extent of the damage. Relief and rescue operations have been intensified, with authorities coordinating efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of those impacted by the floods.
As a precautionary measure, all schools in Dehradun from classes 1 to 12 have been closed until further notice. Residents have been advised to avoid traveling in flooded areas and to remain indoors while the administration continues monitoring the situation and providing necessary assistance.
