Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s latest period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu released worldwide on July 24, 2025, amidst high expectations. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyothi Krishna under the production of A.M. Rathnam, the film stars Nidhhi Agerwal as the female lead. Despite a strong opening and initial appreciation for Pawan Kalyan’s performance and action sequences, the film received criticism from audiences over the quality of its VFX.
In response, the production team has released an updated version of the film across all theatres, addressing the visual shortcomings. “The battle for Dharma has grown bigger,” the team announced while assuring an enhanced theatrical experience. Ticket prices in the Telugu states will be revised downwards starting August 2, and the Hindi version of the film is scheduled for release on August 1.

Set against the backdrop of the 17th-century Mughal empire, the film follows Veera Mallu, portrayed by Pawan Kalyan, on a mission to steal the Kohinoor diamond and liberate a city from Mughal control. While the film garnered praise for its premise and the lead actor’s screen presence, reviews were mixed due to perceived issues with narrative pacing and CGI quality.
Hari Hara Veera Mallu collected an estimated ₹65.36 crore (some sources report ₹64.75 crore) by July 27, including premiere shows on July 23. However, collections dropped by 76.98% on the second day, earning only ₹8 crore, with a slight recovery on the third day, bringing in approximately ₹9.25–₹9.86 crore.
Meanwhile, Janasena MLA Battula Balaramakrishna organised free screenings of the film on July 27 in Andhra Pradesh’s Rajanagaram constituency for students of Classes 9, 10, Intermediate, and Degree levels.
