A major police encounter in Delhi’s Rohini area on Wednesday night resulted in the deaths of four most-wanted gangsters from Bihar. Acting on intelligence inputs, the Delhi Police Crime Branch, in coordination with Bihar police, carried out the operation. Around 2:20 a.m., a fierce gunfight broke out between the gangsters and the police, ending with all four gangsters killed on the spot. They were identified as Ranjan Pathak (25), Bimlesh Mahto alias Bimlesh Sahni (25), Manish Pathak (33), and Aman Thakur (21). Reports suggest that the gangsters were plotting to create disturbances in Bihar ahead of the elections.
The bodies of the deceased were immediately shifted to Dr. BSA Hospital in Rohini. Police officials noted that the gang had been involved in multiple serious crimes across Bihar and Nepal, making them highly dangerous and wanted across state lines. Their criminal activities included a series of violent incidents that had drawn the attention of law enforcement agencies for years.

Authorities said the joint operation was the result of precise intelligence and long-term surveillance. “Both Delhi and Bihar police had been tracking this gang for a significant period due to their involvement in high-profile criminal cases. The encounter was carried out after confirming their presence in Rohini,” a senior police officer said, adding that this operation would act as a major deterrent to organized crime in the region.
