Former MLC Dokka Manikya Varaprasad has made sensational allegations of Rs 1 lakh crore corruption in the liquor sector during the YSRCP rule. He claimed that many people fell ill after consuming J-brand alcohol and demanded an inquiry into the corruption of the previous government. Varaprasad also called for the recovery of the Rs 1 lakh crore and provision of treatment to the victims of J-brand alcohol.
He alleged that Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, an advisor to the state government, recently held a meeting with criminal figures at the Tadepalli Kalki complex. “Commander Sajjala is providing financial resources to rowdy elements,” he claimed, accusing Sajjala of fostering anarchy in the state through his actions at the Kalki Complex.
He remarked that it has only been two months since the TDP came to power and predicted that it would take six months for the state’s financial situation to stabilize. Varaprasad also criticized the YSRCP for allegedly spreading false propaganda, suggesting that the party was blaming TDP for criminal activities in the state.
Dokka Manikya Varaprasad praised the recent decision to increase the annual tenancy for capital region farmers by five years, calling it a justified move to support farmers who have lost momentum. He also highlighted the historic significance of SC categorization and social justice, noting that many, including Manda Krishna Madiga, have been advocating for this cause for the past 30 years.
