Nellore, Andhra Pradesh: Senior YSRCP leader and former MLA Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy strongly condemned the attack on his residence that occurred on Monday night, July 7. Addressing the media after visiting the site, Reddy accused members of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), including current Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy, of orchestrating the attack.
Reddy expressed outrage over the destruction of furniture and vehicles at his home, calling the incident a direct reflection of the breakdown of law and order under the TDP government. Alleging that the assault was a deliberate attempt on his life, he demanded stringent action against the perpetrators. “Had I been at home during the attack, I would have been killed,” he said, adding that his mother was threatened in his absence. He also remarked that such incidents had never occurred before and accused the state of being governed under a “Red Book” regime. He urged Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan to respond, stating that merely occupying a chair is not leadership.
