Hyderabad: Excise officials conducted raids on multiple pubs in Hyderabad, focusing on locations in Jubilee Hills and Serilingampally. The raids were part of ongoing efforts to combat drug usage in the city. Five pubs were inspected, with drugs being seized from the Jubilee Hills Babylan and Serilingampally Quorum Club.
Authorities tested 37 individuals for drug use, with four testing positive. The suspects are currently being interrogated by the police to determine the source and supply chain of the drugs. The individuals who tested positive have been identified as Chinna Nigesh from Warangal, North Ravikumar from Srikakulam, TVS Keshava Rao from Moosapet, and Abdul Rahim from Charminar.
This incident adds to the increasing number of drug-related cases in Hyderabad. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has previously issued stern warnings, promising strict action against both users and suppliers of drugs. Despite police efforts, the drug issue continues to persist, prompting further action from the authorities.
