Ladakh: Mild earthquake tremors were felt in Ladakh on Saturday evening, following similar seismic activity in Tajikistan and Pakistan earlier in the day. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the quake occurred at 5:42 p.m. and measured 4.1 on the Richter scale.
Tremors were also reported in Leh, where residents rushed out of their homes in panic as the ground began to shake. The brief episode caused alarm across parts of the region, though the vibrations subsided within moments.
Officials confirmed that the earthquake’s intensity was moderate and that there were no reports of loss of life or property damage. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation, but the region remains stable with no immediate threat detected.
