Visakhapatnam: Dr. Gade Srinivasulu, the PRTU candidate, has been elected as the Uttarandhra Teachers’ MLC, defeating APTF-backed candidate Raghu Varma through second-preference votes.
Meanwhile, vote counting for the Krishna-Guntur Graduates’ MLC election remains intense. Alliance candidate Alapati Rajendra Prasad is leading with a majority of 20,746 votes by the end of the second round.
In the first round, Alapati secured 17,246 votes, followed by 17,506 votes in the second round. His opponent, PDF candidate K.S. Lakshman Rao, received 7,156 votes in the first round and 6,710 in the second round.
With two rounds completed, Alapati Rajendra Prasad continues to maintain a strong lead as the counting progresses.
