Jerusalem: U.S. President Donald Trump faced an unexpected protest during his speech at the Israeli Parliament on Monday. Two members of parliament interrupted the address, shouting slogans accusing him of genocide. The protesters, identified as Ayman Odeh and Ofer Cassif from the Arab-Israeli Hadash party, were promptly escorted out of the parliament chamber by Speaker Amir Ohana.
During his speech, Trump praised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing him as a leader with extraordinary courage. Netanyahu, in turn, expressed support for Trump’s long-standing efforts to secure the Nobel Peace Prize, announcing that he would nominate the U.S. President for Israel’s highest civilian award.

The announcement came during a Gaza peace agreement event in parliament, where Netanyahu highlighted Trump’s role in brokering a ceasefire and facilitating the release of all remaining prisoners. He emphasized that Trump would be the first non-Israeli to receive such recognition for contributions to peace and stability in the region.
Separately, Trump made remarks regarding the Pakistan-Afghanistan conflict, claiming that he has halted seven wars and is working to stop an eighth. He stated that his tariff policies had pressured both India and Pakistan, asserting that his strategic measures could also help end the ongoing conflict in the region.
