Hyderabad: Tejaswini, wife of noted Tollywood producer Dil Raju, has opened up about her personal life and how her relationship with the filmmaker evolved into marriage. In a recent interview, she shared candid insights into their journey, which began at a time when she was unfamiliar with the film industry.
Tejaswini revealed that prior to meeting Dil Raju, she had limited exposure to cinema and initially mistook him for a director. “I wasn’t aware of who he was when we first met. It was only after a quick Google search that I realised he was a producer,” she said. She added that upon learning he had lost his first wife, she initially decided not to pursue the relationship further. However, she later felt that “what truly matters in life is having an honest person beside you,” prompting her to give the relationship another chance.
Speaking about the decision-making process surrounding their marriage, Tejaswini noted that she was raised by her maternal uncle and aunt, and left the final call to them. “When Dil Raju asked who he needed to convince, I told him about my elder uncle, who is known in our family for being strict. Surprisingly, he was the first to give his approval,” she said. While other family members were initially hesitant, she confirmed that they were eventually convinced, leading to the couple’s marriage.
