An interesting incident unfolded in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly when Deputy Speaker Raghu Rama Krishna Raju advised a TDP MLA to deliver her speech in Telugu. Puttaparthi MLA Palle Sindhoora Reddy was addressing the House on the Amaravati capital and the Polavaram project when the Deputy Speaker intervened, suggesting that she speak in Telugu instead of English.
“If you address the Assembly in Telugu, not only will the members appreciate it, but also the people of your constituency. In the future, try to speak in Telugu if possible. If you find it difficult, it is up to you,” he remarked. Responding positively, Sindhoora Reddy reiterated that the development of Amaravati and the Polavaram project would significantly benefit the state, contributing to economic and agricultural growth. She also extended her gratitude to Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan for allocating substantial funds in the budget for panchayat road construction. Additionally, she thanked Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh.

When Deputy Speaker Raghu Rama Krishna Raju pointed out the absence of the members who had raised the questions, Lokesh stated, “With your permission, we will provide the answers.” In a lighter moment, the Deputy Speaker commented that the absent MLAs might at least watch the proceedings on television, to which Lokesh humorously responded, “If they do, their TVs might break, Speaker!”
