At least four people were killed and over 150 injured in a massive multi-vehicle collision on the Delhi–Agra Expressway in Uttar Pradesh early Tuesday morning, officials said. The accident occurred around 4:00 am near milestone 127 in Mathura district under Baldev police station limits. Dense fog drastically reduced visibility, causing at least seven buses and three cars to collide in a chain reaction, triggering large fires that trapped passengers inside the vehicles.

Locals and motorists initially attempted to help before emergency teams arrived. Firefighters, police, NHAI, and SDRF personnel reached the scene promptly, extinguished the flames, and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals. Several victims were reported to be in critical condition, and authorities warned that identifying the deceased may take time due to the vehicles being completely charred.

The accident caused severe traffic disruptions on the expressway, prompting authorities to restore normal movement with coordinated efforts. Officials described the incident as one of the worst fog-related accidents this winter and advised the public to avoid non-essential travel and exercise extreme caution while driving during dense fog conditions.
