New Delhi: The Rouse Avenue court convened on Thursday to consider the bail plea filed by BRS leader and MLC Kavitha, who challenged her arrest by the CBI in the Delhi liquor scam case. Simultaneously, the CBI lodged another chargesheet against Kavitha related to the same case. During the proceedings, arguments from both parties’ legal representatives were heard, and the bench scheduled the next hearing for the 22nd of this month. Justice Kaveri presided over the session.
Earlier in the day, Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal secured interim bail in a separate case handled by the ED. This development led to disappointment among BRS supporters, who were hopeful that Kavitha would also receive bail.
