Delhi: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was attacked on Wednesday at her official residence in Civil Lines during the weekly Jan Sunwai program. According to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), a man over 35 years old handed some documents to the Chief Minister before pulling her hair and slapping her. Gupta sustained injuries in the incident, leaving those present in shock.
Delhi Police arrested the assailant and launched an investigation into the motive behind the attack. Meanwhile, Delhi BJP unit chief Virendra Sachdeva strongly condemned the assault on the Chief Minister.
