The United States is reeling under the impact of devastating storms and tornadoes that have claimed over 34 lives and caused massive destruction across multiple states. Following the recent snowstorms, heavy rains and powerful tornadoes have wreaked havoc, leading to wildfires and extensive damage to infrastructure.
In Missouri’s Bakersfield area, two fatalities were reported due to tornado impact, while three others lost their lives in Texas Panhandle. Mississippi and Arkansas witnessed the worst damage, with nearly 10 deaths and around 50 individuals sustaining severe injuries. Several buildings collapsed, schools were damaged, and fallen trees obstructed roads, while strong winds overturned trucks.
The National Weather Service has issued tornado warnings for Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, Illinois, Indiana, and Texas, cautioning residents to stay alert.

Widespread Destruction from Canada to Texas
With wind speeds reaching 130 kilometers per hour, tornadoes and storms are causing panic from the Canadian border to Texas. States including Oklahoma, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas, and Kansas are battling wildfires triggered by the strong winds, prompting evacuations in several areas.

In Sherman County, South Dakota, eight people were killed in a road accident due to the storm’s impact. Missouri recorded the highest fatalities, with at least 12 deaths reported overnight. A house in Butler County was completely destroyed, resulting in the owner’s death, while several homes in Dakota collapsed, trapping individuals under the debris.
In response to the escalating crisis, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp declared a state of emergency and urged citizens to remain indoors and exercise caution.
