CWC member Raghuveera Reddy has sharply criticized the Union Budget, claiming it continues to do injustice to Andhra Pradesh even in its 11th iteration. He questioned the allocation of Rs 15,000 crore for the capital city of Amaravati, expressing concerns about the clarity of the funds’ purpose whether they are a loan or intended for development.
Raghuveera Reddy highlighted the absence of special category status for Andhra Pradesh in the budget. He pointed out that the only mention of Polavaram was superficial. He urged regional parties in Andhra Pradesh to respond, expressing disappointment in the performance of the NDA alliance, which includes TDP and Jana Sena, stating that the state has suffered significant losses under their governance.
He questioned why the alliance leaders are not addressing the development issues in Andhra Pradesh and called on TDP, Jana Sena, and YSRCP leaders to take action. He assured that if the alliance leaders stand firm, Congress MPs will raise these concerns during the budget session of Parliament.
