Pulivendula, Ontimitta: The highly anticipated vote counting for the ZPTC by-elections in Pulivendula and Ontimitta commenced today under tight security arrangements at Maulana Azad Urdu University. Pulivendula votes are being counted in a single round across 10 tables, while Ontimitta votes are being tallied in three rounds across 10 tables. Each table is managed by one supervisor and two counting assistants, supported by a total of 30 supervisors, 60 counting assistants, three assistant statistical officers, and additional staff, summing up to around 100 personnel overseeing the process.
According to reports, 9,066 of the total 10,601 registered voters have cast their votes in Pulivendula, while Ontimitta has seen 20,681 voters out of 24,606 exercising their franchise. Results are expected by noon. The by-elections recorded a voter turnout of 74% in Pulivendula and 86% in Ontimitta, generating significant public interest and suspense over the final outcomes.
