New Delhi: Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have announced a reduction in the price of commercial LPG cylinders across India, effective August 1. The cost of a 19 kg commercial cylinder has been slashed by Rs 33.50, while prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinders remain unchanged, offering no immediate relief to household consumers.

After the revision, commercial LPG cylinder prices in major cities are: Delhi – Rs 1,631.50, Kolkata – Rs 1,735.50, Mumbai – Rs 1,583.00, Chennai – Rs 1,790.00, and Hyderabad – Rs 1,886.50. This is the second consecutive month of price cuts for commercial LPG, following reductions in July. Domestic LPG prices have remained unchanged since April, with current rates at Rs 853 in Delhi and Rs 852.50 in Mumbai.

OMCs stated that the price revision, aimed at easing costs for hotels, restaurants, tea stalls, and small businesses, reflects a steady decline in global crude oil prices. These adjustments are based on international market fluctuations and government policy decisions to pass on the benefit to end users.
