Incident Sparks Statewide Controversy

On January 2, students raised alarms, claiming that secret cameras had been installed in the hostel bathrooms, triggering widespread protests. The students accused the administration of recording their private moments while they bathed. Major student organizations, including ABVP and SFI, voiced strong support for the affected students. The students allege that nearly 300 private videos were secretly recorded. In response, the college management suspended Warden Preeti Reddy.

The Telangana State Women’s Commission has taken the incident seriously. Chairperson Sharda wrote to the Cyberabad Police Commissioner, urging a swift investigation and requesting a detailed report to be submitted to the Commission as soon as possible. This incident has become a hot topic across the state, with authorities vowing to take strict action and ensure justice for the victims.
