Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made sensational allegations against the BRS and KTR while addressing a public meeting held as part of his visit to Medaram in Mulugu district. He said that even though Minister Seethakka is not related to them by blood, they treat her as their own sister, while indirectly targeting KTR, he made pointed remarks alleging that some people pushed their own sister out simply to avoid giving her a share of the family’s assets. He questioned how those who could not do justice to their own sister could be expected to do justice to the two crore women of the state.

He alleged that when a son mistreats his own sister, it is the father’s duty to reprimand him — yet the father in question remained holed up in his farmhouse instead. He remained silent even as his own daughter was being pushed out of the house, Revanth Reddy said, adding that this made the father equally complicit in the son’s wrongdoing. He went on to describe such a father and son as a curse upon the state. He further alleged that another individual was performing “Aghora” rituals, wishing for people to suffer and for the state to be destroyed. However, he said, God is on our side, and it is for this reason that the rains came.

CM Revanth Reddy also strongly criticised the BRS government for neglecting the forest deities of Medaram during its tenure, stating that the Sammakka-Saralamma temple is now being developed on par with the Ramappa temple. He recalled that, as PCC President at the time, he had begun his padayatra from Mulugu itself, undertaking the journey after seeking the blessings of Sammakka and Saralamma — the very symbols of struggle and valour — and promising to understand and resolve people’s problems. He said that his government had come to power with the people’s blessings, and assured that funds would soon be sanctioned for the development of the Mallur Narasimha Swamy temple. He also promised that the Jampanna Vagu would be developed to its fullest, making clear that funds would be sanctioned for whatever the Mulugu region needed for its development.
