Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced new guidelines for the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme, aimed at supporting landless and poor labor families. Speaking at a meeting with district collectors, the CM stated that only families who have worked for a minimum of 20 days under the Employment Guarantee Scheme in the past year will be eligible for the scheme’s benefits. The guidelines for this scheme are expected to be finalized soon.
Under the scheme, eligible families will receive Rs. 12,000 from the Telangana Government.

Farmers’ Welfare to Begin on January 26
In another significant announcement, CM Revanth Reddy revealed that the Rythu Bharosa (Farmers’ Welfare) scheme will be rolled out from January 26, 2025. The scheme will cover every acre of cultivable land, with cash support provided whether crops have been sown or not. However, the CM made it clear that ineligible farmers will not receive the welfare benefits. He directed officials to conduct field visits to ensure the accurate recording of land details related to titles, layouts, and lands acquired for mining or project purposes.
Eligibility for Welfare Schemes to Be Strictly Enforced
CM Revanth Reddy emphasized the need for strict eligibility criteria for various welfare schemes, including the Indiramma Housing, Farmers’ Welfare, and Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa schemes, as well as the issuance of new ration cards. He instructed the collectors to complete the groundwork for these initiatives by January 15, 2025. The CM also clarified that new ration cards will be issued in accordance with existing rules, stressing that each family should only possess one ration card.

“One State, One Ration” System on the Horizon
Looking forward, CM Revanth Reddy announced plans to introduce a “One State, One Ration” system in the near future, aimed at ensuring fair distribution of ration benefits across the state. He reiterated that development and welfare are two integral aspects of governance, urging collectors to improve their performance. The CM also instructed IAS and IPS officers to visit hostels regularly, with female officers tasked to visit girls’ hostels to motivate students.
Warning Against Negligence
The Chief Minister warned that any negligence in the implementation of these welfare schemes would result in strict action. He further informed that he would be touring all districts after January 26 to assess the progress and ensure the effective implementation of the schemes.
