Ranga Reddy: The Chevella bus accident has cast a pall of grief over a family from Tandur, as three sisters — Tanoosha, Sai Priya, and Nandini — were among those who lost their lives in the tragic incident. The sisters, residents of Vaddera Galli, were pursuing their degree at Koti Women’s College in Hyderabad and were travelling from Tandur to the city to attend their internal examinations when the mishap occurred.
According to reports, the RTC bus was hit head-on by a speeding tipper lorry coming from the wrong direction near Chevella. The collision was so severe that over 24 passengers, including the bus driver, died on the spot. The death of the three sisters has plunged their family into unbearable grief. Their father, Ellayya Goud, who works as a driver, had been supporting his daughters’ education. Their mother reportedly collapsed upon hearing the news, while relatives broke down in tears at the accident site.

In another tragedy, Akhila Reddy, a young woman from Lakshmi Narayanapur in Yalal mandal, also lost her life in the same accident. An MBA student in Hyderabad, she was returning to college when the collision occurred. Her grieving family members, who rushed to the scene, were inconsolable over the loss.
